Cutting a wedge to fit in the upper portion of the taper

I deviated from the Jeschke design in that I did not taper to zero, I made a filler strip about 10mm thick and 6" wide to fit into the top of the wedge. It seals better and may (may not!) address the 7th Harmonic problem that fully tapered wedges are supposedly known for.
